Title: Arathisil of the Dunedain*, The Remebrance of Arathisil, Gondor's Fair Warrior, Lore of Arathisil
Date: N/A
Comment: During the days between LOTR:TT and LOTR:ROTK, I started writing a story of my own. It followed Arathisil, female Ranger, and her friends as they did all they could to help get the one Ring to Mordor. This poem is about Arathisil who was from Gondor, she went away one day, no one ever saw her since then, etc. Yes, I know, I am lame. Anyway, the poem was supposed to be written like stuff from LOTR, so if it doesnt make sense, I'm sorry lol

---------------

Blade ran her fingers strong and fair
The stars danced silver in her hair
Her shield bore the great mithril
She was prepared to go out withall

On the Rhovanion she sat along
With men of Gondor, she sang their song
Through Dagorlad they passed
Bowing their heads to the last

But across the Silverlode, there they parted
Singing farwell for her silhouette departed
Alas they no longer saw her aught
Going on without her for no one sought

Their fair warrior soon vanished in legend
Telling them she went away to Noirinan
And her brave men perished
No one to carry of her what was left

So pass the Silverlode she was no more
But her blade still rose Gondor
The stars she made glisten for them
Eventhough no one remembered her hymn

Alas! but where is our fair warrior now?
Beyond the Seas and Mountains and the Downs?
Now we wonder if you still are silver
And if you still bare the great mithril

O Arathisil! We gave to you
But no name is worth from Rhun to Lune
For of Numenor you bleed
So come hither to us, we plead
O Arithisil! of the Dunedain
